Anti-Wrinkle Injections (Botulinum Toxin)

Before Care:

  • Stop retinol, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and Vitamin E for 5–7 days pre- and post-treatment.

  • Stop alcohol, caffeine, and ibuprofen before and after to minimise bruising.

  • Avoid smoking until injection sites heal.

  • Avoid alcohol 24 hours prior.

  • Arrive with clean skin.

Risks / Side Effects:

  • Redness, swelling, bruising

  • Temporary headache or flu-like symptoms

  • Eyelid/brow/lip droop (temporary)

  • Uneven or unsatisfactory result

  • Cold sores may be triggered by facial injections

  • Rare allergic reaction

Aftercare:

  • Do not touch/rub injection sites for 12 hours.

  • Avoid chlorine for 12 hours.

  • No strenuous exercise, alcohol, saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds for ideally 2 weeks.

  • Remain upright 4–6 hours.

  • No other treatments in the area for 2 weeks.

  • Wear SPF 30+.
